I use equipment that I believe in and has served me well over the years.

I have previously used a Nikon body, D300, but on my grandson’s sixteenth birthday I gifted this to him to progress his interest in photography and I managed with an iPhone 12 Pro, which I still have and use regularly. Following a discussion with a good friend about my grandson now having the Nikon, he very kindly offered me his late father’s Canon 70D complete with a selection of lenses. As you can imagine, the Canon took a little getting used to having had a selection of Nikon’s in the past, but I finally mastered it and, I must admit, is produces some great results.

To supplement my imaging equipment I use manufacturers such as Bembo, Manfrotto, and Canon.

For many years I have post-processed my images in Adobe Photoshop, but recently I have been dabbling with Affinity Studio, which I am still learning! I used to print all my own images up to A3 size, but following the demise of my two Epson photographic printers I now farm this out to trusted printing companies. I really haven’t missed printing my own images even though I did enjoy it for many years. However, I still mount and frame them myself, as I find this very rewarding.

Images are shot in RAW format unless circumstances prevent this. Shooting in RAW allows the maximum amount of information to be recorded with no loss of image quality.

I use Apple computers with Adobe Photoshop and Affinity installed, as I believe they give the best results (others may disagree!).

All manipulation and reproduction equipment is regularly calibrated using professional equipment to ensure continuity of results.
